    Gov. Mark Dayton followed through on his pledge to veto a $260 million package of tax cuts at midnight Monday. The veto came after Republican legislators again urged the governor to sign the bill, which would cut rates for a variety of taxpayers, including farmers, working families, veterans and student-loan debtors.     Girl Shot On Chicago's North Side
    (CBS) — A young girl was shot and critically wounded on Chicago’s North Side Monday evening. The girl – her age is believed to be 6 or 7 – was rushed by a family member to St. Mary’s Hospital after being struck by gunfire around 8 p.m. in the 2100 block of North Bingham, in the Logan Square neighborhood. She was later transferred to Stroger Hospital. One witnesses tell CBS 2 the neighborhood is usually quiet.
