New principals at central Tampa schools
TAMPA — Philip Shore Elementary School, a magnet school for the arts, has a new principal. Cheri Bollinger, 42, replaces Jaime Gerding, who was taken out of Shore to head up Booker T. Washington Elementary, an Elevate school west of Ybor City. The School Board approved Bollinger's appointment at Tuesday's meeting with member Sally Harris — who is Bollinger's mother — abstaining from the vote.
